Discover opportunities to make a difference theon Intelligence & Space, Vision Systems (RVS) Systems Integration and Test Department is seeking an entry level Test & Integration System Engineer.
In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand‑in‑hand with our customers.
This is an Entry Level Role onsite in Goleta, CA.
- You will support integration, verification and validation (IV&V), design verification testing (DVT), and production testing to support the delivery of EO/IR Focal Plane Array Sensor Systems.
- You will develop test plans and execute product test activities in support of engineering and production builds.
- You will develop and exercise good engineering judgement and technical decision making inside the Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities organization.
- You will develop requirements, generate test procedures, integrate new systems, perform system testing, and support lifecycle requirements for assigned program systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Preliminary exposure to the use of basic laboratory equipment in an academic or internship setting (e.g. one or more of the following: power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, spectrum analyzer, 3D printers, hobbyist electronics, etc.) Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
- Experience with programming in LABVIEW and/or MATLAB for test automation and/or data analysis
- Experience with instrumentation and collection of large data sets, including the application of scripting or automation to data collection and analysis
