The System Administrator must possess a secret security clearance as they will be responsible for administering systems that contain classified data. The candidate is responsible for provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Linux infrastructure for classified programs. Duties include, but are not limited to, server management (software and hardware); storage management (logical and physical);
cross platform authentication and access management; data backup and restoration; software and license configuration; and workstation support. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS). Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
You Will Learn
Experience Deploying Windows workstations and migrating end-user data.
Experience with cloning techniques.
Experience with operating system concepts and implementations.
Microsoft Windows Active Directory Services administration and support (e.g. user and computer objects administration, Group Policy).
Experience with network services as related to Microsoft Windows environment (e.g. DC, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
Experience with supporting desktop / workstation hardware.
Experience with an IT incident/service request system.
Qualifications You Must Have- Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Windows and/or Linux systems administration experience.
- Active Top Secret security clearance.
- Bitlocker support.
- Windows command line and related utilities.
- Network and infrastructure services such as domain controllers, global catalogs, DNS, and DHCP.
- Infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Cloud computing (AWS, Azure).
- Experience with the following Microsoft technologies: MDT/WSUS/MECM;
Windows desktops (Windows 10 & 11), Horizon. - Support experience with engineering applications such as Mat Lab, Green Hills products, Doors, and Subversion.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or other industry-recognized certifications relevant to a Windows System Administrator.
- Infrastructure backup, res.tore, disaster recovery and business continuity.
- Network and infrastructure services such as domain controllers, global catalogs, DNS, and DHCP.
- ITIL Foundations and/or ITIL Service Operations.
