About the Role
Raytheon is seeking a Lead Manager & Sourcing professional for the Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS) acquisition team. You will proactively manage a procurement team to ensure the purchasing needs of the business are met, coordinating activities to achieve program requirements while adhering to the correct procurement practices.
What You Will Do- Manage a team of nine procurement professionals, establishing effective performance measures and metrics.
- Ensure team members possess the correct knowledge and skills, providing on‑the‑job training and support.
- Support team members in collaborating with stakeholders and subject‑matter experts to clarify, define, and refine the scope of supply, purchasing requirements, and statements of work.
- Generate and negotiate teaming agreements and other related agreements.
- Maintain compliance with procurement processes, securing all required approvals before purchase order release.
- Engage with specialists to resolve conflicts and risks involving terms and supplier conditions that deviate from standard company purchase order terms.
- Support vendor engagement, including negotiations and supplier performance management, with onsite supplier activities and selection as appropriate.
- Work closely with engineering to support and implement quick‑turn purchase orders for rapid‑turn development efforts.
- Available for travel to the supply base when required (approximately 15%).
- University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of ten years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least seven years of experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (DoD Secret).
- U.S. citizenship.
- Significant knowledge in leading and managing procurement processes, projects, and tactics within a matrixed organization.
- Broad experience in procurement and contracting, understanding the impact on other business areas.
- Demonstrated experience working with cross‑functional teams (Finance, Program Management, Engineering, etc.).
- Experience in procurement activities and managing internal customer and supplier relationships.
- High‑impact team management and the ability to influence operational parties to achieve objectives within a compliance framework.
- Experience with multiple subcontract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, CPIF).
- Background in the defense industry, preferably aerospace.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations (ITAR/EAR).
- Experience guiding executive and program‑level supplier reviews and negotiation.
- Ability to grasp technical concepts and applications.
- Experience managing financial and operational risks and opportunities.

- Salary range: 145,600 USD – 276,800 USD.
