Temporary Buyer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Temporary Buyer for an immediate contract opportunity in Goleta, CA. This approximately 6-week assignment is ideal for a procurement, purchasing, or buyer professional who can quickly step in to support requisitions, supplier quotes, purchase orders, vendor coordination, and order fulfillment.

This role supports a well-established organization operating in a highly regulated environment, offering the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical purchasing activities while working with collaborative internal teams. The environment is structured, process-driven, and focused on accuracy, compliance, and timely execution. Candidates who enjoy organized workflows, supplier communication, and cross-functional teamwork will find this to be a strong short-term opportunity with potential for extension.

• Support procurement and purchasing activities from requisition through purchase order creation and order fulfillment.
• Obtain, review, and evaluate supplier quotes to ensure pricing, delivery, and compliance requirements are met.
• Track open orders, follow up with suppliers, and help ensure timely delivery of products and services.
• Assist with supplier onboarding, vendor documentation, and ongoing vendor relationship management.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, purchasing files, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to support purchasing compliance, project needs, and issue resolution.

• Pay: $32 to $35 per hour.
