Planning and Material Manager

At the heart of these offerings is Redwire’s patented Roll‑Out Solar Array (ROSA), an award‑winning system that uses composite booms and modular photovoltaic blankets to create compactly stowable, highly efficient solar arrays.

These mission‑proven power systems have supported successful deployments across LEO, GEO, and deep space missions, including the ISS, NASA’s IXPE mission, and NASA’s DART mission.

Redwire Space Enterprises is seeking an experienced Planning and Materials Manager to join the team in Goleta, CA
. This rolewill oversee all inventory, production control, and manufacturing planning operations.

• Set a clear vision for the Planning and Materials functional group that aligns with Operations goals, then lead the team through a structured transformation of processes, roles, and KPIs.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Program Management to translate demand, program milestones, and design changes into executable plans.
• Own the master production schedule and capacity planning to meet customer delivery dates while optimizing labor, work centers, and material availability.
• Maintain robust material control from kitting through point‑of‑use. Reduce shortages through accurate BOMs and effective MRP signals.
• Use ERP and related tools to enable processes and standardized reporting.
• Ensure adherence to AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems and customer requirements across planning and logistics workflows.
• Prepare for and support audits with strong records management, transaction integrity, and training evidence.

• 8+ years in Operations, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing environments with direct ownership of planning, inventory, logistics, and shipping. 3+ years leading teams.
• Proven success building or transforming planning and logistics functions, including establishing KPIs, tiered daily management, and leader standard work.
• Deep experience with master scheduling, MRP, capacity modeling, and finite scheduling in low‑volume, highly engineered manufacturing.
• ERP proficiency as an enabler for planning and logistics processes. Deltek Costpoint or similar systems experience is beneficial but not central.
• Aerospace, defense, or other regulated, audit‑ready environments with ISO 9001 or AS9100 familiarity.

• Leadership that inspires, coaches, and sets clear expectations.
• Ability to develop supervisors and future leaders while elevating team morale and performance.
• Strong analytical ability with comfort in planning parameters, data quality, and KPI dashboards. Adept at turning data into decisions and actions.
• Process design and documentation skills that produce usable, audit‑ready procedures.
• Continuous improvement mindset with practical Lean tools, problem solving, and change management.
• ERP literacy for master data, MRP signals, work order transactions, and reporting.
