Manufacturing Operations Supervisor
Responsibilities- Manage small projects or processes.
- Work autonomously with limited oversight from manager.
- Coach and review the work of area technicians.
- Collect status and barriers to enable effective shift handoffs and communication to factory supervision.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce cycle times and increase throughput in work cells.
- Provide team leadership and model behaviors including adherence to policies and factory rules, timely completion of required training, and attention to detail.
- Identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.
- Rotate between labs and support numerous teams.
- Balance labor resources to support changing production priorities.
- Ensure production documentation, labor reporting, and manufacturing records such as sign offs/JSTD certs are accurate and completed on time.
- University degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
- Experience working in manufacturing, Operations, Planning, Production, and/or Quality environments.
- Time management skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Advanced assembly experience in detector packaging technologies such as laser welding, sub-assemblies and precision alignment.
- Experience in manufacturing information systems.
- Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing.
- Advanced knowledge of lab operations.
- Factory communications, Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 structure understanding.
- Understanding of 30-60-90 and flow down to factory management.
Salary range: 95,500 USD – 181,700 USD.
