Job Summary
We are looking for a Master Technician to join our Production Facility in Goleta, California. The role involves packaging IR detectors for high‑reliability space, military and commercial applications. The position is onsite, 2nd Shift, and requires U.S. citizenship.
What You Will Do- Conduct tests and measurements throughout production stages to control applicable variables.
- Service, troubleshoot, and resolve production process problems with existing equipment.
- Review field support needs and recommend tools and test equipment to engineering.
- Suggest acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials.
- Perform professional work across multiple manufacturing disciplines.
- Monitor and train new employees.
- Wear company provided PPE and comply with all safety procedures.
- Prepare daily status reports at shift end.
- Lead orientation, training, assignment, and oversight of technical/business support staff.
- AA/AS degree or equivalent 2‑year post‑high‑school training with a minimum of 10 years relevant manufacturing or operations experience.
- At least 3 years of manufacturing experience and 1 year in a cryogenics environment.
- Minimum of one year of leadership experience and/or 3 years of customer service experience.
- Experience with general lab equipment (meters, power supplies, handheld tools).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience in a technical field involving ESD‑sensitive parts.
- Experience with FOD and FOD reduction methods.
- Experience in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of entry‑level manufacturing/operations employees.
- Salary range: 73,500
USD – 139,900
