Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA

We are looking for a full‑time or part‑time CNA to support our Goleta program, working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The certified nursing assistant will provide quality nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Duties include:

assisting individuals with activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, and incontinence care; safely transferring, lifting, moving, and transporting patients using proper body mechanics; communicating effectively and tactfully with patients, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors; and supporting individualized care plans.

Part‑time positions require a minimum of three shifts per week, including one weekend shift. Current shifts available:
Saturday/Sunday: 7 am‑3 pm;
Sunday–Saturday: 3 pm‑11 pm; and Friday–Saturday: 11 pm‑7 am.

Wages: $21‑$22 per hour.

• Education: HS Diploma/GED, graduate of an approved CNA program, and valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant in California.
• Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience as a certified nursing assistant is preferred, but not required. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Clearances:
• Valid California Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a thorough background screening process and lifescan fingerprinting
• Drug screen clearance
• Medical and tuberculosis skin test clearance

Physical Requirements: The position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. The employee must frequently lift or move objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds. The employee must be able to properly restrain adult clients, administer CPR and first aid, maintain a therapeutic milieu, and must be free of dependency and abuse of illicit substances.
