Retail Service Specialist

Compensation Pay Range: $16.90 - $24.90. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses, or premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

The Retail Service Specialist supports the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. The role includes shift management responsibilities in the absence of the Assistant or Store Manager. Key duties are:

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, ensuring team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders, contacting customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure, using the electronic outside purchase order ledger.
• Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently, issue refunds accurately using the correct payment methods, and stage returned merchandise correctly.
• Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure team members adhere to the posted work schedule, obtain approval for any changes or deviations, and clock in/out according to company policy.
• Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day-end procedures, securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors and securing the building, arming/disarming security alarms, and locking delivery vehicle(s) in the designated secure area.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required:

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification

Desired:

• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge, ASE Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
