Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish relationships with retailers, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally, you may also work with other products from different companies in the same store.
Salary and Schedule Details- Starting hourly pay rate: $16.90–$18.90 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
- Paid training provided through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom training.
- Part‑time employees receive voluntary benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and others.

- Part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours: 16–20 hours.
- Availability before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
- Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
You will perform service work in the Hallmark departments of various retail stores (grocery, drug, department, mass retailers). This role consists of three major components:
- Day‑to‑day engagement: restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory inside and outside the Hallmark department using a mobile device. Use technology for communication with supervisors, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required merchandising activities. Interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers.
- Holiday support: work additional hours during peak periods such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. May include work on the holiday itself, including weekends.
- Department resets: assist with installations and tasks such as building and setting up Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Receive notification two weeks in advance for remodel assignments, which may involve evenings or weekends.
- Team collaboration: support other merchandiser team members as needed across territories.
Physical demands include pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day, and may need to climb stairs or step ladders.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi network and internet.
- Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores on scheduled days.
