Security Officer

Overview

Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks a Security Officer for the SBCH Security department to safeguard the physical welfare of patients, staff, and visitors. The role helps protect property and assets from vandalism and theft. Major responsibilities include:

• Performs preventative foot patrol of hospital buildings, perimeters, and parking lots to ensure security against theft, intrusion, vandalism, and other damage-causing incidents.

• Perform preventative foot patrols of hospital buildings, perimeters, and parking areas to maintain security and safety.
• Respond to security incidents, monitor surveillance systems, assist with access control, and coordinate with hospital leadership as needed.
• Enforce hospital policies and safety procedures to protect patients, staff, and visitors.

Pay for non-physician positions is determined based on related experience and internal equity. Eligible employees may receive additional compensation such as shift differentials, on-call pay, incentive pay, and bonuses where applicable.
