This position reports to the Facilities Maintenance Manager or Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, and is part of the District’s Facilities Maintenance team.
Duties- Applicant may be considered for either Tech II or Tech III position, depending on qualifications.
- Tech II (journeyman‑level) performs skilled installation, repair, and routine maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities and mechanical equipment.
- Tech III (advanced journeyman‑level) performs a wide variety of skilled tasks in the installation, repair, and maintenance of higher‑level wastewater treatment plant mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment; handles more complex maintenance and repairs, and assists in supervising others.

Requirements- Tech II – High school diploma or GED and four years of experience in the wastewater field in the repair and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment such as pumps, motors, valves, and engines; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Tech III – High school diploma or GED and a minimum of four years of work experience in the wastewater field in the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment, such as pumps, valves, and engines; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. The Tech III position is distinguished from the Tech II by level of responsibility, functional and technical supervision of lower‑level staff, and the complexity of duties.
