Lead Facilities Technician – Plumbing
Location: Goleta, CA

Join RTX’s Enterprise Services Facilities Team as a Lead Facilities Technician – Plumbing. In this role you will ensure the reliable and consistent operation of building systems for mechanical rooms, offices, labs, clean rooms, and support areas, including water scrubbers, boilers, compressors, vacuum pumps, hydronic piping, and domestic waste and water systems.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC units, motors, water pumps, scrubbers, and other facilities equipment following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and complete the repair, installation, and maintenance of production and facilities equipment.
- Lead compliance with safety standards and support predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
- Execute small‑scale projects to achieve site operational goals and business objectives.
- Lift 40‑50 lbs. as required by the position.
- Minimum 8+ years of applicable experience in corporate facilities maintenance or related industrial settings.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent 2‑year post‑high‑school education, training, or certification.
- 5+ years of experience with plumbing and process piping, including water scrubbers and domestic/industrial water.
- 5+ years of experience servicing large air/water‑cooled chillers, environmental‑control systems, pump systems, compressed air, vacuum systems, and cooling towers.
- 5+ years of experience working with water distribution systems such as pumps and RO units.
- Active California state driver’s license.
- Physical ability to lift 40‑50 lbs.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and general knowledge of small hand tools.
- Familiarity with MS Office Business Suite, building automation, and control programs.
- Experience working under OSHA and RTX safety policies.
Salary range: $66,000 – $125,400 USD.
