Alarm Technician Apprentice

Position Summary We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Alarm Technician Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals interested in learning the trade and building a career in alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and low-voltage cabling. You will work alongside experienced technicians, assisting with installation and service of fire/burglar alarms, security systems, cameras, and network infrastructure for both residential and commercial clients.

Assist with installation and service of fire and burglar alarms, CCTV, access control, and network systems.

Help troubleshoot and repair security and low-voltage systems under supervision.

Learn how to run, terminate, test, and label cabling (twisted pair, coaxial, and fiber).

Support site surveys, maintenance, and accurate documentation of work performed.

Maintain tools, materials, and a safe, organized work environment.

Follow all safety procedures and company protocols.

High School Diploma or GED (Vocational/Technical training a plus).

Valid Driver’s License.

Strong interest in learning alarm, CCTV, and access control systems.

Mechanical/technical aptitude and willingness to learn.

Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.

Able to pass state/federal background checks.

Authorized to work in the U.S.

Ability to lift and carry equipment and tools.

Comfortable working on ladders, in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments.

Capable of working in varying weather conditions.

Eager to learn with a strong work ethic.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Detail-oriented and organized.

Customer-focused attitude.

This is an entry-level apprenticeship with on-the-job training provided. Apprentices who demonstrate strong performance and skills will have the opportunity to advance into full Alarm Technician roles.
