Principal Software Engineer – Electronic Warfare
Location:
6380 Hollister Ave, Goleta, CA (ON SITE)
Security Clearance: U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance required.
What You Will Do- Provide technical leadership and collaborate with cross‑disciplinary integrated product teams, using agile development practices.
- Plan, specify, design, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions for electronic warfare products.
- Drive invention and innovation of new products and technologies from architecture and design through integration, lab, and field testing.
- Develop software and FPGA level interface requirements derived from system‑level specifications, perform simulations, analysis, and laboratory testing.
- Work in an advanced product development environment with systems, firmware, electrical, and software engineers.
- Root‑cause issues and develop creative resolutions in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Travel for business as required.
- Degree in STEM and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in software design, development, integration, and testing using C/C++.
- Experience with embedded microprocessors, SoC software design, FPGAs, high‑speed transceivers, DDR, flash memories, block diagrams, signal analysis, and signal generation.
- Experience developing real‑time applications on embedded platforms – bare‑metal (no‑OS), embedded Linux, or Windows.
- Capacity to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
- Existing Secret security clearance.
- Knowledge of Electronic Warfare, Electronic Attack/Electronic Support, Radar, or Secure Communications technologies.
- Experience with .NET C#, WPF, and MVVM.
- Tool familiarity:
Visual Studio, Vitis, Tortoise
SVN, Jenkins, Jira, Collaborator. - Dev Sec Ops experience with pipeline toolsets.
- Lab experience with logic analyzers, high‑speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, and SoC debugging tools.
- Experience with bus and interface standards such as VME, PCI, PCIe, VPX, or Gb Ethernet.
- Experience across all software lifecycle phases (architecture, requirements analysis, design, implementation, verification, integration, maintenance).
- Exposure to Radar technology, machine languages, and machine learning.
- Experience in Agile development processes.
