Senior Software Engineer – Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS)

Location:

Goleta, CA – Onsite

• Work on the design, development, integration, deployment, and support of RVS software.
• Design, develop, and maintain software for RVS sensor and camera products.
• Software design and development of hardware test frameworks.
• Software integration with firmware and test hardware.
• Software validation to customer specifications.
• Generate formal documentation such as Version Descriptions and Validation Documents.
• Installation, deployment, and instructional support for automated test software.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Ensure software compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and performance objectives.
• Troubleshooting and supporting requirements for advanced imaging hardware.
• Track and manage cost, schedule, and technical performance metrics.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including hardware, systems, and test engineers, to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant software development experience using C/C++, C#, Java, and/or Python with knowledge of object‑oriented methodologies.
• Experience with industry‑standard IDEs, including Visual Studio, VS Code, and MATLAB, for development, debugging, and version‑controlled workflows.

• Coding with hardware interfaces (Serial I/O, Ethernet); software‑oriented diagnostic tools such as profilers and debuggers.
• Experience with hardware‑oriented diagnostic tools (oscilloscope, Wire Shark).
• Matlab and/or LabVIEW programming.

• Salary range: $95,500 – $181,700 USD.
