Software Engineer II, Embedded

Raytheon's Electronic Warfare (EW) Software development team is looking to hire an experienced Software Engineer II to work on real-time embedded products.

• Participate in collaborative, cross‑disciplined integrated product teams, often employing agile system and software development operations to plan, specify, design, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions.
• Innovate creative implementations of new products and technologies, from architecture and design through integration, lab test, and field test.
• Collaborate effectively with other disciplines and senior technical staff, producing planning and technical work products for internal customers to form original solutions to complex problems.
• Develop software requirements and FPGA‑level interface requirements derived from system level requirements, develop associated architectures, perform simulations and analysis, and test the software in a laboratory setting.
• Work in an advanced product development team environment with systems, firmware, electrical and software engineers.
• Handle a fast‑paced and dynamic product development environment, engaging with Systems and Electrical Engineers.
• This position will require occasional business‑related travel.

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) AND a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience in software design, integration and test utilizing C / C++.
• Experience in software engineering related to firmware/product development or similar.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required
  , as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Current transferable DoD Secret security clearance.
• Experience with embedded microprocessor design, system on a chip software design, FPGAs, high‑speed transceivers, DDR, flash memories, block diagrams, signal analyses, signal generation and signal processing.
• Experience developing real‑time applications on embedded platforms, including bare metal (no‑OS), embedded Linux, and Windows environments.
• Electronic Warfare Electronic Attack/Electronic Support (EA/ES), Radar, or Secure Communications technology knowledge.
• Experience with .NET C# using WPF and MVVM.
• Tool familiarity:
  Visual Studio, Vitis, Tortoise SVN, Jenkins, Jira, Collaborator.
• Lab experience in product testing using logic analyzers, high‑speed oscilloscopes, signal generators, and system on chip debugging tools.
• Experience with interfaces and bus standards such as VME, PCI, PCIe, VPX, or Gb Ethernet.
• Experience across all phases of software lifecycle from architecture to system integration, and post‑delivery maintenance.
• Experience with software algorithm development, and machine learning.
• Experienced in Agile development processes.

Salary Range: 75,800 USD – 144,200 USD.
