Position Purpose: Provide outstanding service to ensure efficient day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the Tool Rental department, making sure that available equipment is reliable and properly maintained.

Position Purpose: Provide outstanding service to ensure efficient day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the Tool Rental department, making sure that available equipment is reliable and properly maintained.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools, diagnose problems, and make necessary repairs. Keep work area clean and organized.
- Forecast and maintain an adequate inventory of parts for repair. Use manuals, vendors, etc., to diagnose problems and restore equipment.
- Return returned tools by cleaning, inspecting, and preparing tools for rental by other customers.
- Ensure tools are repaired and available for rental in a timely manner while minimizing costs.
- Process tool rental transactions (log repairs and work orders, generate contracts, take deposits, convert contracts into invoices upon return, etc.).
- Train Tool Rental Sales Associates on tool operation and minor repairs.
- Act as Sales Associate on the floor as needed.
Nature and Scope:
- Temporary cracks may appear in the floor due to forklifts and heavy equipment, causing uneven surfaces.
- The environment can be dusty and noisy.
- Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and temperature changes.
- Floors may become slippery during wet weather.
- Work may involve handling merchandise and tools with sharp edges.
- Passing forklifts emit gas fumes.
- Tools, supplies, and related merchandise may contain hazardous materials.
Environment: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Unpleasant conditions are infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel: Typically less than 10% overnight travel.
