Full-Time Anatomy and Physiology (Biology) Instructor

Starting at $42,000; may increase depending upon years of college teaching experience and education

This is a 9-month, full-time position.

Instructors may be assigned classes at any of the four River Parishes Community College campuses (Gonzales, Reserve, Plaquemine, and St. Charles), as determined by student need and institutional demand. Teaching needs may include face-to-face/online and/or evening classes. Full-time faculty are expected to actively serve on campus committees, participate in campus activities, and participate in student advising and recruitment.

• Master’s degree in anatomy and/or physiology OR Master’s degree in any of the following biology-related disciplines (anatomy, cell biology, biology, biomedical sciences, evolution, genetics, histology, immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, neuroscience, pharmacology, physiology, virology, zoology) OR Master’s degree (in any discipline) with 18 graduate semester hours in anatomy and/or physiology or kinesiology courses related to anatomy and physiology or combination of 8 graduate semester hours of anatomy and/or physiology or kinesiology courses related to anatomy and physiology and 10 graduate semester hours of embryology, cell biology, histology, organology, pathology, endocrinology, immunology, molecular biology and/or genetics OR Professional degree (M.D., D.O., D.V.M.) and 8 graduate semester hours in anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology courses related to anatomy and physiology, embryology, cell biology, histology, organology, pathology, endocrinology, immunology, molecular biology and/or genetics.
