- Conduct activities of the Plastic Lined Steel Department in accordance with policies, principles, and procedures established by the Company.
- Assemble custom products based on specifications from sales orders, sales personnel, customer requirements, and industry regulations by cutting and welding steel pipe and assembling plastic liner into steel piping. Follow standard fabrication quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Inspect, test, and evaluate final product for proper dimensions, fit, and finish to meet Harrington and quality standards.
- Determine shipping schedules based on customer requirements and existing inventory. Track orders and investigate problems. Prepare and prioritize fabrication schedules and coordinate activities to ensure product quality and specifications.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials and products for accuracy and completeness; resolve inconsistencies. Confirm that materials and products received meet specified requirements.
- Coordinate and complete orders from walk-in customers by entering orders into the computer system, checking discount information, pulling ordered materials, packaging as needed, completing required paperwork, and collecting payment for cash sales. Forward completed paperwork to the office for further processing.
- Process returned materials by verifying quantities and inspecting materials for credit worthiness. Send information to Inside Sales for further processing. Hold materials in a separate area pending credit approval and instructions to re-stock.
- Valid driver's license
- Forklift driving experience
- Must frequently lift and move 20 pounds, occasionally up to 75 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Industrial distribution experience in the pipe, valve and fittings industry is a plus
