Safety Technician

Job Description

The Safety Technician plays a critical role in supporting safety within a manufacturing environment as an individual contributor. This position focuses on conducting safety inspections, identifying hazards such as equipment malfunctions and slip-and-fall risks, and ensuring compliance with safety standards through documentation and reporting. The technician will collaborate using incident reporting systems and safety management software to maintain a safe workplace.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections to identify potential hazards
• Support safety training initiatives to promote safe work practices
• Report and document incidents accurately using incident reporting systems
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Test and verify the safety of equipment regularly
• Manage safety documentation and records efficiently
• Perform risk assessments to prevent accidents and injuries

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in occupational safety
• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety
• First Aid/CPR Certification
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety audits
• Experience with incident investigation and risk assessment
• Strong safety training and communication skills
• Attention to detail, problem solving, and teamwork abilities
