The Portables Support Technician is a responsible for assisting in the inspection, maintenance, and servicing of portable fire protection equipment. This position is designed to provide hands-on training under direct supervision. The role will support experienced team members while learning applicable codes, standards, and safe work practices related to fire and life safety systems.#

* Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

*** Assist with inspection and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers and related equipment under direct supervision.
* Support senior technicians with service tasks including tagging, documentation, and basic compliance checks.
* Learn and follow NFPA standards, company procedures, and safety protocols.
* Transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed as directed.
* Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
* Follow all company safety policies and procedures while working in the field.
* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job progress and needs.
* Perform work in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
* Use hand tools and testing equipment under supervision.
* Travel to job sites as required.
* Other duties as assigned by management.
** Education/

Qualifications:

*** TWIC Card is required for the role.
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* No minimum experience required.
* Ability to follow instructions and work under direct supervision.
* Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
* Basic mechanical aptitude preferred.
* Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving role).

* Physical Requirements:

*** Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and climbing ladders.
* Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
* Ability to work in various environments including commercial, industrial, and construction settings.
* Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
* Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work for extended periods.
