First Grade Teacher
Gooding Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a First Grade Teacher. The successful candidate will create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that fosters a love for learning and supports the academic and social development of first-grade students. This full-time position requires a commitment to providing high-quality education while collaborating with fellow educators, parents, and the community.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to the diverse learning needs of first-grade students.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect.
- Assess and monitor student progress through formal and informal evaluations, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
- Foster a love for reading, writing, and mathematics through creative and interactive instructional methods.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively and implement strategies to support students' social and emotional well-being.
- Organize and participate in school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities to enrich students' learning experiences.
- Stay current with educational trends and best practices to continually improve instructional strategies and classroom management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification for elementary education in the state.
- Experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Proficient in using technology and educational software to enhance instruction.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
- Background check clearance as required by state regulations.
