Fifth Grade Teacher Position
Immediate Opening Gooding Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Fifth Grade Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for students, promoting academic excellence, and supporting the social and emotional development of each child. This full-time position offers the opportunity to inspire young minds and make a lasting impact on their educational journey.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including tests, assignments, and observations.
- Provide individualized support and intervention for students who may be struggling academically or socially.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and any concerns.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
- Maintain an organized and safe classroom environment that promotes respect and inclusivity.
- Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other school activities as needed.
- Uphold the values and mission of Gooding Elementary School, contributing to a positive school culture.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification for elementary education.
- Experience teaching fifth grade or a similar age group preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
