Company Overview

This is a hybrid position that requires working onsite in our Goodlettsville, TN office every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
. Regular in-office attendance on these days is a required condition of employment and an essential function of the role.
Applicants should only apply if they can consistently meet this onsite requirement. Remote work is not available on the required in-office days.

Works as part of a team supporting 30 Workers’ Compensation and General Liability adjusters and managers. Responsibilities include setting up new claims, managing the department’s toll-free phone line, filing required state reports, processing payments and checks, and providing administrative support to the Risk Management (Claims Insurance) team.

Job Details
  • Originate claims in the claims management system, claims set up.
  • Answer the Risk Management toll free phone line, return and transfer telephone calls to appropriate parties. Answer questions from claimants and providers.
  • File state reports (First report of injuries {FROI’s}), EDI.
  • Approve all new vendors and make vendor address changes.
  • Pick up and sort department checks three times per week.
  • Communicate new claims to our TPA where appropriate.
  • Run wage statements for adjusters.
  • Sort, index and determine path for medical bills in question.
  • Provide general support to adjusters for numerous functions.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret data.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent phone call handling skills.
  • Customer service oriented and works well in a team environment.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft office programs and ability to type 40 wpm.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confrontational situations in a mature and professional manner.
  • Minimal clerical experience.
  • Knowledge of Workers’ Comp and/or General Liability a plus.

Education Requirements:

High school graduate. College degree preferred.
