What You’ll DoAs a Fire Sprinkler Designer / CAD Drafter you will design code‑compliant fire sprinkler systems, create accurate project drawings, and collaborate closely with project managers to ensure every system meets NFPA standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare project drawings, specifications, and schematics using AutoCAD and related CAD platforms.
- Design layouts, perform field checks, create fabrication listings, material and equipment submittals, and calculations.
- Ensure all designs comply with NFPA standards and applicable Federal, State, and local codes.
- Support Fire Protection and Low Voltage projects across multiple job types.
- Coordinate with project managers to maintain scope, timelines, and compliance requirements.
- Produce close‑out documentation and as‑built drawings.
- Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
- Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and communication.
- Maintain accuracy, organization, and efficiency across multiple active projects.
- Perform all work in alignment with State Systems’ mission of protecting life and property.
- 1–2 years of Fire Sprinkler / Life Safety design experience (HydraCAD or SprinkCAD a plus).
- 2+ years of experience using Windows‑based AutoCAD design software.
- Strong understanding of commonly used design concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and manage deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work seated at a desk for a standard eight‑hour workday.
- Professional communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Compensation: Based on education, experience, and credentials
Schedule: Full‑time | Monday–Friday | 8‑hour shifts
