Digital eCommerce Onsite Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced Digital eCommerce Onsite Lead to drive end-to-end delivery, Agile execution, and quality engineering across strategic digital commerce initiatives. This role serves as the primary onsite liaison between business, product, engineering, QA, architecture, Dev Ops, and multiple vendor partners, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of customer-facing digital platforms. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate offshore delivery, manage stakeholder communications, drive release execution, and champion quality engineering and test automation practices.

Strong expertise in digital commerce, Agile delivery, test automation, API testing, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices is essential.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Lead onsite execution of Digital/eCommerce programs, ensuring alignment between business priorities, product roadmaps, and delivery commitments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, product owners, engineering teams, QA teams, and vendor partners.
  • Drive Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Release Planning, and Retrospectives.
  • Coordinate and manage dependencies across Engineering, QA, Dev Ops, Architecture, Product, and offshore delivery teams.
  • Define and oversee quality engineering strategies, test planning, automation adoption, release validation, defect governance, and production readiness.
  • Partner with engineering teams to establish scalable test automation frameworks for Web, Mobile, API, and Microservices-based applications.
  • Drive automation initiatives using Playwright, Python, API automation, and CI/CD pipelines to improve release quality and delivery efficiency.
  • Monitor delivery health, sprint metrics, quality KPIs, risks, issues, blockers, and capacity utilization while driving timely resolutions.
  • Coordinate UAT, production deployments, hypercare activities, and post-release validation.
  • Mentor engineering and QA teams on automation best practices, Agile execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Mandatory skills:

  • Hands-on expertise in Playwright Automation Framework development using Python.
  • Strong experience in Web UI Automation, API Testing, Microservices Testing, and Integration Testing.
  • Solid knowledge of Python programming, test framework design, and automation architecture.
  • Experience with REST APIs, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, API automation, and service virtualization.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, release management, sprint execution, and stakeholder governance.
