Computer Operator

Description

Our client is seeking a Computer Operator to support daily computer operations activities within the Data Center Operations team. This position is responsible for monitoring system activity, processing scheduled and unscheduled jobs, tracking exceptions, and supporting daily operational workflows. The role will work within a fast-paced environment focused on maintaining the health and stability of critical systems and processes. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working within a structured operations environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring system performance, processing requests, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with internal teams when exceptions arise.

• 1. 1-2 years of experience in a Data Center, IT Operations, Help Desk, or technical support environment.
• 2. Experience working with monitoring tools and responding to system alerts - AS/400
• 3. Understanding of automated batch processing and job scheduling environments.
• 4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• 5. Strong verbal communication skills and ability to process requests from internal customers.

• High School Diploma required.
• Multi-platform operations experience preferred.
• Knowledge of AS/400, UNIX, and Microsoft commands preferred.
• Knowledge of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools preferred.
• Working knowledge of monitoring tools and automated batch processing preferred.

Entry Level

This is a Contract position based out of Goodlettsville, TN.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
