Senior Payroll Analyst

Join a municipal payroll team during the implementation of a new HRIS/HCM system. This role will support day-to-day payroll operations while assisting with system testing, data validation, and transition activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle, biweekly municipal payroll and off-cycle payments
• Review timesheets, employee changes, deductions, accruals, and payroll adjustments
• Prepare payroll reconciliations, tax reporting, W-2s, and quarterly filings
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
• Support HRIS/HCM implementation through payroll testing, data validation, and process documentation
• Maintain compliance with payroll regulations, policies, and reporting requirements

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of full-cycle municipal payroll experience required
• Experience with payroll reconciliations, tax reporting, deductions, and payroll accounting
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Experience with Tyler Munis, payroll system testing, and electronic timekeeping systems preferred
• Municipal experience supporting police/fire pay rules and union agreements (MOUs) highly preferred
