OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking a HSE Manager for our Data Center Group in Goodyear, AZ. The HSE Manager assists with inspections, accident investigations, conducts safety meetings, and implements health, safety, and environmental processes. The HSE Manager is responsible for compiling and maintaining records, logs, and reports required by the contractor, client, and federal, state, and local regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Work directly with the Project Manager and management team to develop and implement an effective site‑specific EHS plan while adhering to all corporate, divisional, and regional EHS programs and processes.
- Assist Project Managers and EHS Managers/Specialists in coordinating subcontractor EHS protocols, including vendors and owner personnel working on company projects.
- Coordinate project EHS programs with subcontractors.
- Assist in planning and coordinating work to eliminate hazards, minimize risks, and aggressively manage losses involving injuries or property damage.
- Coordinate quarterly comprehensive on‑site EHS audits.
- Periodically inspect and evaluate the project site, equipment, and processes for compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company and owner policies and procedures.
- Conduct accident investigations and complete incident reporting for Project Management review.
- Accompany injured employees to treatment and medical evaluation.
- Ensure all EHS protocols are followed.
- Advise Project Management on Industrial Hygiene protocols; perform Environmental Monitoring.
- Manage the Company’s Drug‑Free Workplace Policy, ensuring proper testing for Pre‑Employment, Vehicle Authorization, Reasonable Suspicion, Post‑Accident, Random, and Follow‑Up.
- Provide training and education to Company personnel regarding EHS requirements, including coordination of new hire EHS orientation programs.
- Administer the corporate SPAT process on assigned projects.
- Complete and provide a weekly EHS update to EHS Leadership.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent.
- CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction EHS field.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem‑solving, and prioritization skills.
- Knowledge of regulations, standards, hazard recognition, and injury management.
- Some travel required.
- Required to stand, sit, walk, and/or climb stairs or ladders.
