The Special Education Teacher supports students with diverse learning needs by providing individualized instruction, implementing educational plans, and fostering an inclusive learning environment. This role collaborates closely with families, educators, and support staff to help students achieve academic, social, and behavioral success.

Monday-Thursday - Grade Levels:
Elementary - School Year: 2026/2027
- Pay: $50-$54
- Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers to support student success.
- Conduct assessments, collect data, and maintain accurate documentation regarding student progress.
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Implement behavior management strategies and interventions as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet individual student needs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Arizona Special Education teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs and progress monitoring systems.
- Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
