Position: Survivor Link _ 900-hour position

Survivor Link Ameri Corps members in the School of Social Work at Arizona State University will build capacity within social service and community-based agencies to implement evidence-based parenting education, parenting responsibility and healthy relationship skills programming for low-income Arizona parents. Members serve a minimum of 900 service hours. Through training, coaching, research on evidence-based interventions, and support, members develop competencies in evidence-informed parenting education, healthy relationship skills programming, and organizational capacity building.

Because of the longer service term, members have additional opportunities to support implementation planning, contribute to training materials and resource development, document promising practices, and assist agencies with refining systems that promote sustainable program delivery. By researching interventions, training agency staff, establishing implementation systems, and supporting sustainable program delivery, members create community impact by increasing access to family support services across Arizona.

Members integrate service with their academic training, preparing for careers serving their communities while cultivating a commitment to National Service.

Members support implementation of evidence-based parenting education, parenting responsibility, and healthy relationship skills programming as trainers, facilitators, and implementation coaches. Members research evidence-based interventions, support implementation planning, contribute to training materials, document promising practices, and assist agencies with refining systems for sustainable delivery. Working alongside agency staff, members build workforce competencies in evidence-informed parenting education and healthy relationship skills facilitation. Members develop and sustain positive relationships with community partners.

Fieldwork requires documentation and supervision; members must submit OnCorps timesheets every week. Each member may spend up to 20% of the 900-hour term of service in trainings.
