Special Education Teacher position for a 36-week contract in or near Goodyear, AZ. The role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in students' lives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop individualized educational plans for students with special needs
- Collaborate with classroom staff, parents, and specialists to support student success
- Manage classroom behavior and support students in developing socially and academically
- Assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet diverse needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with educational regulations and policies
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Special Education, or an equivalent field
- Arizona State Teaching Certification in Special Education or eligibility for certification
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Special Education Teacher with strong classroom management, individualized instruction, and behavioral support skills
- Must pass background check and obtain updated clearances
- Soft skills:
excellent communication, adaptability, patience, and a team-oriented mindset - Physical demands: standing for long periods and assisting students with mobility needs
- Flexibility to work within school hours and manage multiple priorities
