We are hiring a Mechanical Design Engineering Manager to lead and personally contribute to the design of production equipment and manufacturing systems used in a high-throughput manufacturing environment.

This is a fully onsite role requiring daily engagement with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.

We are specifically seeking candidates with experience designing and owning production machinery, automation systems, tooling, or capital equipment — not aerospace harness design, consumer product-only roles, or research-focused backgrounds.

• Lead a team of mechanical engineers focused on production equipment design
• Maintain hands-on ownership of mechanical systems from:
• Drive DFM/DFA decisions impacting uptime, yield, and throughput
• Support equipment bring-up, factory validation, and root cause resolution
• Review and approve tolerance stack-ups, assemblies, and system-level design decisions
• Collaborate closely with controls, electrical, manufacturing, and operations teams

• 7+ years of mechanical design experience in production equipment, automation systems, or manufacturing machinery
• 2+ years leading or managing mechanical engineers
• Demonstrated ownership of capital equipment or factory systems
• Strong GD&T, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing process knowledge
• Experience supporting equipment during build, commissioning, and ramp
• Comfortable working onsite in a production environment
