Industrial Engineer

The Industrial Engineer will lead industrial innovation projects for the Goodyear Modular Data Center facility. These projects will be focused on plant productivity, efficiency, quality, logistics, continuous improvement and safety. This role is critical in driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction in a fast‑paced, engineer‑to‑order and design build environment.

Leadership & Strategy:
Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver on scope, schedule, cost, and quality, leveraging:

• Lean Manufacturing techniques
• Six Sigma
• Kaizen
• Value Stream Mapping
• Layout optimization
• Digital Transformation
• Theory of constraints

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to successfully lead teams through challenging projects.
• Ability to collaborate and/or influence to achieve challenging results.
• Demonstrate SE core values in everything you do.

• Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years of Industrial Engineering experience in an automated industrial environment.
• Hands‑on experience with Lean concepts (VSM, SMED, 8 wastes, Takt Times, Cellular Mfg, Poka‑Yoke).
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
• Toyota Manufacturing Methodology training/certification or equivalent.
• Experience in identifying and eliminating inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste.
• Experience in automation and autonomous robotics integration.
• Experience in analyzing and making measurable improvements in cycle times and labor productivity.
• Experience in creating and deploying scalable “standard work.”
• Experience in process flow simulation modeling to test improvements.
• Experience in facilities layout and optimization.
• Experience in material flow optimization.
