This Equipment Engineer supports the installation, maintenance, and operation of the automated module assembly line equipment. They will assist in project management tasks related to installation and commissioning of manufacturing lines, with a focus on ensuring efficient equipment operation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assists in managing module equipment/system related design, planning, installations, and commissioning.
  • Supports troubleshooting of operational issues with equipment, motors, robots, controls, and PLC systems under supervision.
  • Assists in conducting root cause analysis for equipment failures, downtime, and materials issues.
  • Aids in designing and implementing solutions for equipment upgrades.
  • Assists in managing projects and documentation to ensure timely completion and within budget.
  • Contributes to the development of capital expenditure (CAPEX) project roadmaps for module equipment.
  • Supports coordination of outside contractors for project completion.
  • Assists in monitoring and improving assembly equipment performance metrics.
  • Participates in implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Supports LEAN operations initiatives for problem-solving related to equipment issues.
  • Assists in sourcing spare parts for equipment maintenance.
  • Contributes to maintaining safe work practices for equipment and areas.
  • Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work area using 5S principles.
  • Supports maintenance training on technical standards and procedures.
  • Provides support for equipment operation, including emergency after-hours assistance as needed.
Minimum Requirements and

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or related high volume automation industry.
  • Familiarity with managing the installation and startup of automated manufacturing assembly lines is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of factory automation, robotics, and servo-controlled systems.
  • Exposure to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) is advantageous.
  • Technical understanding of engineering principles and procedures.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, robots, PLC, motors, drives, and vision systems.
  • Understanding of regulatory, environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and procedures.
  • Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Exposure to LEAN methodology concepts is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in English language skills.
  • Physical ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments, including standing and walking for long periods.
