Call on designated customers in person or over the phone to create product orders and promote the company’s Hispanic branded meats and cheeses. Supervise Merchandisers and Brand Sales Representatives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Call on designated customers, in-person or over the phone to take orders and provide customer service.
- Complete order process and scheduling; ensure order is placed properly and customer commitments are communicated timely and accurately.
- Supervise Merchandisers and/or Brand Representatives; establish monthly objectives, provide feedback on hiring and disciplinary actions.
- Train and schedule Merchandisers and Brand Representatives; ensure performance levels are maintained in selling and promoting products.
- Coordinate and set up advertising and in-store promotions in collaboration with management.
- Check in-store displays for effectiveness and to ensure pricing matches current promotions.
- Check in-store product expiration dates to ensure product shelf-life.
- Communicate with the customer to ensure product flow and service levels are met; troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
- Provide paperwork support for Administration with inventory billing adjustments and reconciliations on returned product.
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years of sales experience
- One (1) year supervisory / leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS and ABILITIES
(KSA’s)
- Fully fluent in Spanish and English.
- Driver’s License which meets company requirements.
- Personal vehicle which meets company standards for licensing and insurance.
- MVR which meets Bar-S driving standards with review by Bar-S Human Capital.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including skills with Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills, must be able to communicate effectively both in person and on the phone.
- Must demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS
- Able to travel up to 25% of the time to support remote sites, including overnight stays for up to 5 days at a time.
- Able to work in a cold environment of approximately 34˚ F for prolonged periods of time.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to sit and drive for a full shift of at least 8 hours.
- Able to stand for at least 4 hours.
- Can repeatedly twist, turn, kneel, stoop, stand, rotate, bend, push or pull to move 30 pounds.
- Able to repeatedly move 75 pound load on a cart/hand-truck without assistance.
- Able to climb up/down, in/out of vehicle.
