WMS (Warehouse Management System) Manager oversees the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of warehouse software systems. They act as a bridge between IT and operations, focusing on maximizing inventory accuracy, improving workflow efficiency, troubleshooting system issues, and leading vendor relationships.
Core Responsibilities- Lead the deployment and configuration of the new WMS & LMS, replacing the current legacy systems across multiple locations.
- Ensure successful integration with existing systems and infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute WMS-related IT projects.
- Develop project timelines, allocate resources, and manage budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
- Liaise with WMS vendors and service providers to ensure timely support and service delivery.
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.
- Identify areas for improvement within the WMS to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including user manuals and SOPs.
- Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals and analysts.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, and inventory management processes preferred.
- 5 years or more of management experience.
- 5 Years or more of exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, and inventory management processes preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Hands‑on experience with top‑tier WMS applications.
- Managed the requirements, design, build, and testing (Integration, System, End‑to‑End, Performance, and User Acceptance) for WMS Projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of WMS software and related technologies.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in SQL, database management, and scripting languages.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
- Extensive technical expertise – strong working knowledge of SQL Server, Windows Server, networking, and printing solutions.
- Experience with SQL Server reporting tools or equivalent tools.
- Strong end‑to‑end knowledge of warehousing operations.
