Reporting to the Supply Chain Planning Manager, the Upstream Planning Leader is responsible for leading upstream supply chain planning, supplier coordination, and material availability strategies to ensure seamless production execution and optimal plant performance.
This role operates as a key specialist within the plant, coordinating upstream activities by applying operational standards that support safety, efficiency, and consistency. You will collaborate cross‑functionally to drive continuous improvement, monitor performance, and foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
What will you do?- Lead upstream planning processes including MRP execution and supplier alignment
- Develop and manage supply strategies to ensure material availability for production
- Coordinate inbound material flow from suppliers to support plant operations
- Monitor supply chain performance metrics and identify inefficiencies
- Proactively manage supply risks, shortages, and escalations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across upstream and logistics processes
- Optimize logistics and supply chain processes to improve overall performance
- Support plant operations by executing and improving planning and operational programs
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and promote safe working practices
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to meet production targets and business goals
- Coach and support team members, providing guidance on non‑routine or escalated issues
- Strong expertise in supply planning, MRP, and supplier coordination
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and drive data‑based decisions
- Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and material flow
- Strong problem‑solving and continuous improvement mindset
- Effective stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
- Leadership capabilities with experience coaching and guiding others
- Ability to balance operational execution with strategic thinking
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning, procurement, or manufacturing
- Experience managing supplier relationships and inbound supply processes
- Experience working within ERP and planning systems
- APICS Certification Preferred
- Leadership role with direct impact on production continuity and plant performance

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 101,600 - USD 152,400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full‑time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
