The Regional Director of Operations is the senior operational leader responsible for the overall performance, strategy, and direction of an assigned region. All regional project team leaders report to this position.

This role is responsible for aligning regional operations with company strategy, policies, performance objectives, and financial goals while maintaining a unified vision across all projects. The Regional Director of Operations serves as the primary executive-level contact for key clients and stakeholders and is accountable for operational excellence, financial performance, safety, quality, client satisfaction, and employee development across the region.

Travel throughout the assigned region is required to support project performance, strengthen client relationships, develop employees, and ensure operational standards are consistently maintained.

Operational Regions:

East (EAST), Midwest (MIDW), North Texas (NTEX), South Texas (STEX), and West (WEST).

Skills &

Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of progressive senior leadership experience in large-scale construction operations.
  • Extensive experience managing multiple projects, teams, and complex construction programs.
  • Strong executive-level client and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate company objectives into regional action plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a strong safety and accountability culture.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven financial and operational management experience, including P&L accountability.
  • Proficient in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned region as required.
Decision-Making Authority:

The Regional Director of Operations has final decision-making authority for regional-level operational matters and owns executive-level client relationships. Regional leadership across Management, Field Operations, Quality, and Safety escalates significant issues and decisions to this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the entire region.
  • Oversee regional documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure project teams maintain accurate records and fulfill all contractual obligations.
  • Monitor regional performance across safety, schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Establish and enforce consistent quality control standards across the region.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain regional budgets and forecasts.
  • Maintain accountability for regional P&L performance and profitability.
  • Establish and enforce cost controls and financial accountability.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and support teams.
  • Build high-performing teams and establish succession and talent development plans.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, developers, trade partners, vendors, and key stakeholders.
  • Participate in bid reviews in partnership with Sales and Estimating.
  • Conduct operational audits and ensure risk management practices are consistently followed.
  • Support regional business development and executive-level client relations.
  • Contribute to regional growth strategies, resource planning, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, profitability, and project execution.
  • Provide monthly executive-level updates to the Executive Committee regarding regional performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
