Director of Acquisitions & New Market Strategy Veterinary Industry | Growth + M&A | $120K–$150K Base

We’re looking for a Director of Acquisitions & New Market Strategy to help drive expansion into new markets through veterinary practice acquisitions and new hospital development.
This is a highly visible, entrepreneurial role for someone who knows the veterinary industry, loves building relationships, and gets excited about growth. You’ll join an incredibly fun, smart, down-to-earth team with an amazing culture where collaboration and love for the veterinary industry is key!
What You'll Do- Identify and evaluate high-growth markets and potential veterinary practice acquisitions
- Build relationships with veterinary practice owners and prospective partners
- Analyze local markets, competition, and opportunities for acquisitions and new hospital development
- Support acquisitions from initial conversations and LOIs through due diligence and transition
- Partner closely with executive leadership, finance, legal, operations, and growth teams
- Travel regularly to prospective markets to meet owners and evaluate opportunities firsthand
3–5+ years of veterinary industry experience is required. You understand veterinary hospitals, the people who run them, and what makes them successful. The ideal candidate has experience in M&A, business development, veterinary operations, multi-site leadership, corporate strategy, denovo growth is especially valuable, and has the following characteristics:
- Entrepreneurial, strategic, and relationship-driven
- Comfortable with financial and operational information
- Naturally curious about businesses and new markets
- Personable and able to quickly build trust with practice owners
- Excited about travel and being out in the field
- Looking for a great culture and a team they genuinely enjoy working with
Arizona, Nevada, California, or other Western states
Plus:Travel and expense budget
Estimated Total Package:Approximately $150,000–$180,000
