Job Summary
The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall plant operations, ensuring a safe workplace and meeting all production demands. Responsibilities include achieving production goals while adhering to quality standards and efficiency targets. The role also involves equipment maintenance through preventive programs, employee engagement to promote quality and productivity, cross-training initiatives for workforce flexibility, and collaboration with other KPS facilities. The Plant Manager reports to the Vice President of Manufacturing Operations.
The successful candidate will oversee workflow and workforce utilization, build relationships with peer Plant Managers, and support sales and other functions. They will assist in developing labor, productivity, safety, and budget plans, and control operational expenses.
Major Responsibilities
- Understand key manufacturing processes and product CTQ features. Be familiar with factory operations and identify issues or non-conformities, building credibility with the team.
- Manage daily operations to ensure a safe, positive, and productive environment.
- Coordinate with Master Scheduling for manpower planning, support budget development, and monitor operational performance metrics.
- Implement strategies supporting KPS Global’s initiatives, such as process improvements and new product launches.
- Organize and direct manufacturing and maintenance to optimize resource use.
- Enhance manpower utilization and productivity across departments.
- Minimize costs through effective resource management while meeting production schedules and quality standards.
- Improve safety records by addressing safety issues and ensuring compliance with safety programs, working with EHS representatives.
- Prepare monthly operational reports highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
- Foster employee involvement, teamwork, and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other Plant Managers to share best practices and optimize asset utilization.
