As our Inventory Control Specialist, you’ll own the accuracy of all inventory data—finished goods, raw materials, and everything in between. What You’ll Do- Ensure inventory is accurate, complete, and fully compliant with internal and external standards.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to achieve 100% quarterly cycle count completion.
- Partner daily with Production, Logistics, and other departments to resolve reporting errors, label issues, scrap, downtime, and other discrepancies.
- Review previous‑day production reports and take corrective actions to keep inventory precise and up to date.
- Manage new item setup requests and maintain active item master data in the ERP system.
- Support product structure reviews and variance analysis, helping identify the root causes of deviations.
- Assist the Finance team with inventory valuation and year‑end inventory activities.
- Serve as the primary contact for all inventory‑related questions.
- Review and update inventory SOPs annually to ensure compliance and consistency.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide periodic backup support for logistics as needed.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret logistics data (product availability, delivery performance, transportation metrics).
- Maintain logistics databases and track product flow from order to delivery.
- Review transportation costs, delivery performance, backorders, and other fulfillment metrics.
- Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely, reliable shipments.
- Respond to customer inquiries and handle special shipping arrangements when necessary.
- Monitor and correct shipping errors and ensure all services meet expected quality standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office—strong Excel skills required.
- Experience with integrated ERP systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy in tracking and reporting inventory.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret inventory, demand, and cost data.
- Excellent time‑management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to lead and influence cross‑functional teams.
- Experience in inventory management/control preferred.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field.
- Basic understanding of injection molding (a plus).
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods on the shop floor.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally.
- Use of standard office equipment (computer, phone, keyboard, etc.).
