Packer - 3rd shift

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team and is currently recruiting for a Packer - 3rd shift to work from our manufacturing facility located in Goodyear, AZ.

Shift hours:
Monday thru Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with some Saturdays as needed.

• Packs bags of chips into cartons.
• Assembles cartons, applies stickers and packs cases according to case specifications while verifying the package quality of finished product.
• Performs visual inspections of chips, quality of chips and chip packages and alerts machine operator or shift supervisor / lead of any problems.
• Performs rework as needed.
• Covers "pick out" lines and recognizes bad product.
• Performs daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation tasks.
• Maintains GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Follows all safety guidelines and maintains appropriate housekeeping standards.
• Gives lunch and work breaks.
• Works proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
• Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

• Basic reading and math skills.
• Knowledge of product quality and basic operations acquired through training.
• Ability to communicate production issues to co‑workers and supervision.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to perform constant and repetitive motion in a physically demanding position.
