The role As An Automation Lead At IPL You Will- Initiates, implements, and manages the maintenance program specific to automation.
- Coordinates with Operations team and maintenance manager to scheduled PM/Repair work.
- Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary.
- Maintains and repairs and maintenance of automation equipment and secondary systems.
- Maintains and updates operating and training manuals for the maintenance department.
- Monitors operation of plant equipment and systems.
- Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
- Maintains safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Implement programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.
- Support the Plant Operations Department by planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.
- Coordinates activities with Maintenance and Operations team.
- Reports directly with the Maintenance manager to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.
- Communicates directly with the Maintenance manager to ensure effective interaction between maintenance activities and quality requirements, including participation by the maintenance technicians in the implementation of QA policies and procedures.
- Supports company- and plant-wide safety programs by providing technical expertise/support and training.
- Responsible for special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of two years’ experience with the set up and operations of plant specific automation systems
- Injection molding experience
- Advanced Maintenance skills
- Experience with large tonnage machines (4000 tons).
- Strong understanding of OSHA Safety Standards.
- Previous maintenance experience is required.
- The ability to work in a high-volume work environment in a team atmosphere is essential.
- Proficient skills in MS Office;
Outlook, Excel and Word. - Thorough understanding of the organization and work environment.
- Has a thorough understanding of plastics materials.
