The Heart Care Glendale Clinic is located at 6220 W. Bell Rd, Glendale, AZ 85308.
Hours:
Monday‑Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
The registered nurse (RN) practice is guided by the ANA Standards for Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics. The RN records patient medical history and symptoms, performs diagnostic tests, operates medical equipment, administers treatments and medications, and follows up for rehabilitation.
The RN establishes or contributes to an existing care plan, which may include medication administration, IV lines, therapies, patient observation, and consulting with physicians and other clinicians.
The RN educates patients and families about illness management, post‑treatment care, nutrition, exercise, and medication self‑administration.
The RN directs licensed practical nurses and nursing aides, delegating tasks appropriately, and provides guidance to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
The RN precepts new hires and students, helping them complete competency tasks and continually enhance their knowledge of nursing management and patient care.
Essential Functions- Collect health data systematically, prioritizing based on patient condition and family involvement.
- Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and develop, implement, evaluate, and revise evidence‑based, family‑centered care plans.
- Identify individualized outcomes, initiate treatments, medications, and emergency measures per standing orders and policies.
- Document observations and interventions in a retrievable manner, evaluating progress toward outcomes.
- Maintain current knowledge in nursing practice, evaluate practice quality, and adhere to professional standards.
- Apply ethical principles and cultural competence in all care aspects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, peers, and other health providers to deliver quality patient care.
- Develop and evaluate evidence‑based standards of care, supporting research and quality improvement initiatives.
- Consider safety, effectiveness, and cost when planning and delivering patient care.
- All Diploma and ADN hires must complete a BSN within 60 months of hire or have 5+ years of RN experience by hire.
- Associate or Diploma in Nursing is required. For staff in direct care of stroke patients, refer to the stroke addendum for specific education requirements (prior to start).
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Other: >10 months in med‑surg or acute specialty setting.
- 1 year RN experience for all float positions.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Certification in BLS training course C and unit‑specific certification as required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) – State or Compact licensure in Arizona upon hire.
- National certification for unit‑specific patient populations is preferred.
