PRN, Days, 12hr shifts. Network Float Pool – Floats to 3+ Campuses! Flexible Scheduling. Previous experience in Diagnostic Care setting required.

The RN's practice is guided by the ANA Standard for Professional Nurse and Code of Ethics. The RN has knowledge of professional nursing principles, practices, concepts, and procedures as applied to the care of the patient population served. The RN records patients' medical history and symptoms, helps perform diagnostic tests and analyze results, operates medical equipment, administers treatment and medications, and helps with patient follow-up and rehabilitation.

The RN establishes a care plan or contributes to an existing plan. The plan may include activities such as administering medication, including careful checking of dosages and avoiding interactions; starting, maintaining, and discontinuing intravenous (IV) lines for fluid, medication, blood, and blood products; administering therapies and treatments; observing the patient and recording those observations; and consulting with physicians and other healthcare clinicians.

The RN teaches patients and families how to manage illnesses or injuries, explain post‑treatment and home care needs, diet, nutrition, and exercise programs; and self‑administration of medication and therapy. The RN provides direction to licensed practical nurses and nursing aides regarding patient care and delegates when appropriate. The RN supports efforts to advance clinical knowledge and skills, precepts new hire staff and students, assists staff and students in completing competency tasks, continues to enhance knowledge in nursing management and patient care, and may continue to improve patient outcomes.

• Collect health data systematically and prioritize data collection based on patient condition or needs and involving the family.
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and use nursing diagnosis to develop, implement, evaluate and revise patient plans of care that are family‑centered, developmentally and age‑appropriate, and culturally relevant.
• Identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient and their specific health problems; develop plans of care that are evidence‑based, ensure continuity of care, and are family‑centered.
• Implement interventions in the plan of care, initiate treatments, medications, emergency and resuscitative measures based on standing orders, policies and procedures.
• Provide care meeting the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social‑cultural needs of patient and family using a family‑centered approach.
• Evaluate patient progress toward outcomes, document observations, interventions, therapeutic measures, monitoring data, and other relevant data in a retrievable form. Evaluate quality and effectiveness of care plans continuously.
• Evaluate own nursing practice relative to professional standards, statutes, regulations and maintain current knowledge. Systematically evaluate quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Integrate ethical principles; enhance knowledge of cultural and diversity needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care; collaborate with patient, family and other providers in delivering care.
• Develop and evaluate evidence‑based standards of care; identify changes, facilitate adoption and adaptation to improve nursing practice and patient outcomes. Use evidence‑based research to identify improvement strategies and support integration of research into practice.
• Consider safety, effectiveness, and cost in planning and delivering patient care while utilizing resources efficiently.

• Other / Certificate:
  All Diploma and ADN hires must complete a BSN within 60 months of hire or have 5+ years of RN experience (direct or indirect) at hire.
• Associate or Diploma in Nursing:
  All staff responsible for stroke patient care must refer to stroke‑specific education addendum prior to start.
• Bachelor in Nursing (BSN):
  Preferred.

• Other: >10 months med‑surg or acute specialty setting – Required.
• 1 year RN experience for all Float Positions – Required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – Certification in BLS training course and unit‑specific certification as required by specialty area – Required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) – State or Compact licensure in Arizona – Upon Hire – Required.
• National certification for unit‑specific patient population – Preferred.
