Area Manager II, Quality

Factor, a brand of Hello Fresh, is seeking an Area Manager II, Quality that will lead our QA teams to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation meet our high-quality standards to provide the best service to our customers.

• Provide employee instructions and advice on how to perform their task (QA checks, documentation, expectations).
• Work towards continuous improvement in all areas, ensuring all actions deliver business value without violating company policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation regarding GMPs, HACCP, processing analysis, and environmental monitoring.
• Coach QA employees to follow company procedures.
• Train new employees on standard operating procedures.
• Ensure daily workload is distributed based on priority and ability.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the QA Manager.
• Occasionally inspect products or surfaces using tools such as thermometers, gas analyzers, and food scales.
• Update quality numbers in the computer system; proficient in data entry using computer programs.
• Provide guidance to employees by coordinating work and resolving problems for the QA team.

• Lead and foster team cooperation for a large group of employees.
• Maintain momentum and keep employees on task to meet goals and deadlines.
• Train and develop a large group of employees, driving ongoing process improvement.
• Manage performance, hiring, promotions, and performance reviews for assigned production lines.
• Apply professional, confidential problem‑solving and analysis skills.
• Deliver results in a results‑driven manner.
• Communicate with employees with tact and diplomacy.
• Track, monitor, and maintain production productivity.
• Apply technical capacity in sanitation, food safety & quality, and computer literacy for data input.
• Show learning orientation by taking direction and relaying information to employees.

• Bachelor’s in food science or related field preferred but not required.
• 1 or more years of related experience.
• Expected to obtain certification as a power material handling equipment operator.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions).
• Basic computer skill knowledge.
