Geoscientist

We are seeking Project Geoscientists to join the exploration team for greenfield mineral drilling programs across the US Southwest. This field-based role executes hands‑on drilling operations, core logging, and low-level project coordination while enforcing strict HSE standards in remote field crews.

• Contract role with high extension potential (initial 6 months, March–August 2026)
• 1-week paid Salt Lake City onboarding, including laptop setup and safety training
• Opportunity to work on active copper exploration projects

• Execute hands‑on greenfield mineral exploration drilling programs, including site preparation, geological mapping, and drill supervision at remote locations
• Perform field core logging, lithological description, and sampling of drill core at active drill sites, ensuring accurate real‑time data capture
• Conduct basic QA/QC checks on samples and geological data during field operations
• Monitor and apply company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures for drilling operations, intervening immediately if unsafe conditions are observed
• Deliver daily technical reports and updates and upload data to geological database

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field
• 4+ years of field‑based mineral exploration drilling experience
• Proficiency with geological databases
• Strong communication skills for daily reporting and close crew teamwork
