Security Officer
Position:
City of Hope Security Officer
- Provide assistance to patients, caregivers, visitors, and stakeholders, and respond when asked for assistance.
- Protect patients, caregivers, visitors, stakeholders, vendors, and property.
- Perform preventive patrol and inspection services, including night patrolling to maintain a visible deterrent and ensure safety.
- Patrol the hospital grounds and parking lot by foot or vehicle to observe potential threats, suspicious activities, and safety concerns.
- Respond rapidly to security emergencies within the hospital.
- Maintain control in violent or threatening situations and contact local authorities if needed.
- Assist in external emergencies, such as disaster response per WRMC’s Emergency Management Plan.
- Provide directions and assistance to patients and visitors.
- Escort patients, stakeholders, and hospital guests to their vehicles upon request.
- Assist with jump‑starting a vehicle with a dead battery.
- Maintain a positive attitude of safety, security, and customer service.
- Enforce COH rules and regulations.
- Monday-Thursday 7:30 pm – 6:00 am
- Monday-Thursday 10:00 pm – 8:30 am
- Monday-Friday 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm
- 1–3 years of security related experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire.
- Valid Arizona State Driver’s License.
